Post truth science? At this point no wonder why I prefer a tarot reading than a psychoanalysis session.

It is clearly understood that when there are more sick people in a country the GDP goes up. The pharmaceutical industry is a multi-billion dollar bohemoth that has power beyond my understanding. What I do? Take care of myself, exercise, eat live food, meditate, stretching and deep breathing. Avoid this new age alchemy at all costs (no pun intended) $$$ My experience when I recently went to see the doctor is that he was more of a salesman than anything else. He did not have my best interests in mind and I am my best advocate for my health. There is responsibility that comes with that. I am not passing the buck onto a profit driven industry that wants to rock me on my spiritual heels so I'm dependent on them for their false solutions.

Right on, ZenWithaPen. And good point about GDP. Yeah, my experience with doctors is similar to yours. It's hard to find one without a God complex.

I’ve often wondered about this in the super high-end intellectual fields. Quantum physics and such. There are so few people that can even understand the data ….it must be easier to falsify.

So true. And then when their honest peers call them out, people don't know whom to believe.

Harvard cancer researchers did the same thing, https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/22/business/harvard-dana-farber-cancer-institute-data-manipulation-claims/index.html

Harvard offered an "internal investigation" conducted by a coauthor of one of the affected studies, https://brokenscience.org/dana-farber-cancer-institute-is-committing-scientific-misconduct-with-its-handling-of-its-investigation/

In the meantime, no one spoke about the lost federal research dollars that went into their grants, or the persons who would have been saved had more-deserving research paths been taken.
